Al Pacino Hunt Nazis in Jordan Peele Series for Amazon Prime

Al Pacino becomes the biggest name to join the world of web series. That too with an ultra interesting and slightly controversial concept – Nazi Hunting. Pacino comes to Amazon Prime with Jordan Peele’s Hunters.

In the series, he plays the leader of a ragtag group that’s hunting down those nasty Nazis in America. Hunters trailer is out now and promises to be a must-watch.

Here’s the Hunters logline:

A diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City discover hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team will set out on a bloody quest to bring them to justice.

There’s a boatload of directors attached to the 10 episode project. There’s Nelson McCormick, Dennie Gordon, Wayne Yip, Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, Millicent Shelton and Michael Uppendahl.

The Al Pacino trailer promises a violent, comedy take on the Nazi hunters concept.  Several Nazi hunters are active today and their main aim is to book the culprits and put them behind bars. With most countries accepting that Nazism was a war crime, true life Nazi Hunters don’t need to kill the Nazis that they identify and apprehend.

Apart from these guys, there’s another boatload of writers attached to the project as well. There’s David Well, Nikki Toscano, Eduardo Javier Canto, Ryan Maldonado and David Rosen.

Along with Pacino, the cast includes Greg Austin, Dylan Baker, Jeanne Berlin, Tiffany Boone, Louis Ozawa Changchein and several others. Going by the concept, I am sure most of the cast will be around for a couple of episodes of this Amazon Prime Original before they are bumped off by The Hunters. Interesting concept, let’s see how they hold up.
