Amy Adams is looking for a bit of change of pace, and that brings us to The Woman in the Window, the upcoming psychological thriller by 20th Century Fox.  Joe Wright directs this movie.  Anna, (Amy), is agoraphobic enough to be shut in in her house. However, she is bold enough to invite one of her female neighbors into the house. she makes a best friend, a woman from her neighborhood. As they bond, she tells Anna about how her family is ‘unique’. Of course, the trailer doesn’t show how the family is unique though. Anyway, as the trailer progresses, that woman is murdered and turns out that Anna is the only person who knows of the murdered woman’s existence.

People witnessing murders in an urban setup is a concept that some content creators have played with earlier. The Shia LaBeouf movie, Neighbors, was a classic 90s movie on this concept. In India, we have Pehla Nasha, the Deepak Tijori starrer that had a similar concept. Gone Girl is the granddaddy of this genre. The Amy Adams starrer Woman in the Window is from the studio that brought us that classic on as well, 20th Century Fox

The Woman in the Window hits theaters on May 15, 2020.
