Anne Heche To Star In Horror Movie Chasing Nightmares

Anne Heche has been out of action for a while, but the talented actress is coming back to screens with a horror movie, no less. Chasing Nightmares, the Hollywood horror movie in question also stars Graham McTavish. The cast also includes Spencer Daniels, Aubrey Cleland, Jay Huguley, and Dana Daurey.

It’s about a college student who risks and her friends’ lives to find out the truth behind the nightmares she has, about a girl and a masked man.

Christopher Gowan writes the script and will also direct the movie. David Brown’s Clear Horizon, who recently launched Specter Pictures will be producing the horror movie.

One thing I notice among horror movies now is that the protagonists and main characters are turning younger and younger. I guess all this started after the Stranger Things, the series with a teenage star cast released.

Its interesting to see that Hollywood horror movies are going ahead with female protagonists. Apart from Aliens and some home invasion movies, and of course, the Halloween series, Hollywood doesn’t really have a female protagonist for the horror genre. For horror movie fans, the story will be a reminder of the Nightmare series, but I am sure the creators have something in mind that sets these movies apart.

Heche is a horror/sci-fi alum. She was earlier part of movies like Donnie Brasco (1997) and Psycho (1998).  In 1997, she was also part of I Know What You Did Last Summer. In 2017, she acted in My Friend Dahmer, which gave the audience a glimpse into the life and times of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
