Beneath Us Has Racial Undertones With A Great Storyline

Beneath Us is an upcoming Hollywood horror movie with glaring racial undertones. The trailer for the movie is out now and gives the blueprint of a genuinely frightening concept – getting trapped in a place you go to build.

A white couple buys a house and hires undocumented Mexican immigrants. The immigrants find out their American Dream has given way to their worst nightmare. The trailer is on the spot and has some gruesome spots.

New content creators are now shying away from showing the racism that exists in America. Quentin Tarantino did it by turning Django into a racially charged movie. Recently, Hollywood horror movies like Get Out mixed sci-fi with racism, coupled with some typical horror tropes. Beneath Us is balls-out about racism and about the issues that immigrants – documented or otherwise – face in America.

Beneath Us stars Rigo Sanchez, Josue Aguirre, Roberto Sanchez, Thomas Chavira, Lynn Collis and James Tupper. The movie has given rise to a new sub-genre, Immigrant Horror. That’s something I haven’t come across as yet. However, I have come across a movie that’s about zombies attacking Indians (not the Asian kind), Blood Quantum.
