The supporting cast comprises of Shama Sikander, Gul Panag, Rajit Kapur, Sudhanshu Pandey, Manish Chaudhary, and Taher Shabbir. Naman Nitin Mukesh directs the script that Neil Nitin Mukesh writes. It’s good to see Neil coming to Bollywood horror movies. His debut, Johnny Gaddar, is my absolute favourite, after Manorama Six Feet Under. Adah Sharma is already a Bollywood horror film alum. She’s earlier worked in the film 1920 and Phirr.
The younger actors are looking at Bollywood horror movies. That’s always good news for the horror audience. Big names bring bigger budgets and better production values – something the Indian horror genre really needs. Neil is the next young star who’s coming to horror. Earlier, Anushka Sharma ventured into the horror genre with films like Phillauri and Pari. Shraddha Kapoor also ventured into horror with the horror comedy Stree.
The next couple of years are a bumper for Bollywood horror fans. Bypass Road releases. Along with genre crossovers like Housefull 4 and remakes like Laxmmi Bomb. There’s also the Bhool Bhulaiya remake, starring Karthik Aryan. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar connects to all these films. He’s in Housefull 4 and Laxmmi Bomb. He also starred in the original Bhool Bhulaiya film.
