It’s happening. The seventh horror film in the deliciously camp franchise Tremors has gone into production. IHC fans of a certain age and taste might have seen one of the horror films on a VCR and on a VHS.
That horror film should be the first one starring Kevin Bacon. The rest released straight to video. There’s a seventh film now, and even that’s going straight to video. I know that you don’t read much about straight to video films, but I am sure Tremors is a beautiful, if distant memory for IHC fans.
Tremors 6 snagged a Netflix release – don’t roll your eyes, Drive did so too – so I think Tremors 7 might reach the Big N as well. While we are on that, Michael Gross, who plays Burt Gummer in the franchise recently revealed his new – and different look on his Facebook page. See that look here:
If you are just returning to the horror franchise, I know what you are thinking. What is this guy doing in the film? Well, Kevin Bacon and the others long became big names, but the franchise went on, making Burt Gummer the protagonist since the third film, Tremors: Back to Perfection.
