The Candyman franchise has decided that it cannot fight the Coronavirus. The movie will now release in September 2020, instead of June 2020. The exact date for the release is September 25. The horror movie logline tells us that there’s no chance of anyone from the 1992 movie playing a major role. However, but the seduction of cameos and afterthoughts cannot be left off the hook (see what I did there?)
In Candyman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Anthony McCoy a visual artist who shifts into Chicago’s Cabrini Green area, with girlfriend Brianna Cartwright (Teyona Parris). While they don’t know what the issue, Anthony finds out about from a man who’s lived in Cabrini for far too long. When McCoy finds out about the legend, he decides to depict it with his artwork.
Netflix recently revealed the delightful little horror movie set in the art world, Velvet Buzzsaw. That movie was lusciously violent and classy. We can’t wait for another horror movie set in the world of art.

The original Candyman that hit theaters in 1992 started off describing the legend of the Candyman, the evil power that comes to Earth if someone calls out his name five times. The second movie hit theaters in 1995 and the third movie released in 1999. So, this makes it the fourth movie in the franchise,
