Dharma Productions Promise Dark Mode

Dharma Productions is at the forefront when it comes to making new content. Karan Johar, the karta dharta at Dharma opened up a production house that’d exclusively make web content, Dharmatics. A month ago, Karan Johar directed one story in Ghost Stories, the Netflix Anthology about ghosts. Johar also has his hands full with the Vicky Kaushal starrer Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship.

And just this morning, Dharma’s sent a video that’s captured our imagination. The ten-second video promises a Dark Mode On.  I didn’t even realise what it was, until I saw Dharma’s logo on the top left corner. I seriously thought this was someone telling me that the Whatsapp Dark Mode is out there.

I am sure there will be some other announcement regarding this video by Dharma Productions somewhere down the line. These are exciting times for Indian horror fans. Almost every major production house and A-Lister is now looking at horror as an essential part of movie making and entertainment. With the number of horror comedies coming out in the next two years, Bollywood’s Dark Mode is truly on.

Trust me, it could be anything at this point in time. Dharma Productions has the resources and the money to set up a specialty production house for horror.  Or it could be the announcement of another horror movie from their side. Or just a new plug for their upcoming Bhoot: Part One.
