Dracula is the next horror web series that Netflix is unleashing on the audiences. Initially, Dracula started off as a BBC Original with Netflix snagging distribution rights. Now, it’s become a Netflix Original. The horror web series will first launch on BBC One and then come to Netflix. Dracula drops on Netflix on the 3rd of January. The series looks like one serious look on the iconic character. Claes Bang depicts the titular character in this one. The trailer shows him fighting some enemies, seducing women and even a religious order deciding to and trying to kill him off.
More content creators are looking at the retro horror characters and franchises to bring out something new. Along with characters like Dracula, movies like The Invisible Man, Chucky, and even low budget movies like The Craft are coming to newer audiences in the form of reboots, reimagining, and even sequels.
What’s more interesting is that Dracula is one of the several characters from Universal’s Darkverse. Netflix and BBC are now bringing out a series about him. There could be chances that these three will collaborate for a Darkverse web world? The possibilities are endless and staggering.
