Ghost Stories is one of the most anticipated horror properties and Netflix didn’t forget that today’s Friday the 13th. There’s now a brand new trailer for Ghost Stories that’s high on the chills and the spills. There’s a lot of bloodletting, a lot of screaming and a lot of running away from the inevitable. The teaser was just that, a teaser that showed a glimpse of the stories that feature in the anthology horror movie, and the trailer gives a lot more information.
Watch Ghost Stories Trailer:
There’s clarity about the four stories that form Ghost Stories now. One is about a newlywed woman who finds out that there’s a ghost in the family that she’s married into. That’s a nice touch on the baggage that marriage brings in with itself. Another story is about a young nurse who thinks that the old woman in her care has paranormal powers. Yet another is about a young boy who’s father seems to have died in strange circumstances. There’s a bit of confusion about what the fourth story in the anthology is.
Its good to see that the new-age directors, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee and Zoya Akthar have all kept the Bollywood horror flame alive and have used gore and blood and revolting images to make the movie all the more interesting. This is the spiritual sequel to Lust Stories, another interesting anthology movie that was about one of the most basic human emotions, Lust. Of course, the second most basic emotion, Ghost followed. The anthology movie stars Janhvi Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Gulshan Devaiah and Mrunal Thakur.
Ghost Stories streams 1st January on Netflix.
