Ghostbusters Afterlife Trailer Is Here

Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer just hit the masses and I can’t ignore one thing – the paranormal horror movie is made to look like an epic and something that made the original such a love is missing as well – the sarcasm.  The trailer is straight forward about the movie’s story – the grandsons of one of the original Ghostbusters come to a sleepy town because the family is broke and they’ve inherited an old house in the ‘middle of nowhere’.

I am not very kicked about the Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer, specifically after the drubbing that the 2016 release got. This movie has none of the sass, the humor or the sarcasm that all the other movies had. People loved Ghostbusters because of its audacity to show ghosts and show people were out there defeating them. The current trailer makes this movie feel like just another monster movie. Some critics have called out the Stranger Things vibe that’s all-present – but then, which movie or series that has some supernatural element doesn’t have a  Stranger Things vibe now? Everything’s off about the current avatar of the Ghostbusters. The movie’s releasing in July 2020. A December trailer launch means that the trailer will go stale for all these months, unless the creators have something to come up with every other week or month.

Jason Reitman writes and directs Ghostbusters Afterlife. There’s confirmed news that the members of the original cast will be coming together. Going by the trailer, I think they will return to save the kids and then the grandpa and the kids will save the world together.
