Godzilla is one of the world’s most endearing characters. He has starred in more than a dozen South Asian creature horror movies. Hollywood has given its own spin to the legendary characters. Newer movies about the character always on the anvil – whether this side of the ocean or that. Now, Legendary Pictures is giving some respite to an entire civilization that’s under lockdown. it’s offering fans a chance to watch three creature horror movies via Fanflix. The movies are:
- Godzilla (2014) – April 9
- Kong: Skull Island – April 16
- Godzilla: King of the Monsters – April 23
That’s the whole Monsterverse out there, so I think people will have fun watching these three movies at one go. Fanflix has said on its site that the viewing opportunity is available only in the US. I checked over at YouTube and one can buy or rent the creature horror movies at a price that’s lower than the US price.
The movies are an important part of pop culture and the phenomenon of Hollywood movies being bigger and better than any other industry. The first Hollywood movie featuring the character was the Roland Emmerich directorial Godzilla, in 1998. Since then, Legendary Pictures has taken over the Hollywood part of the franchise and made two other movies with Godzilla Vs. Kong coming up sometime in 2020.
