Indian actor Ali Fazal has bagged a role in the film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile. The film is the sequel to the Kenneth Brannagh directed Hollywood murder mystery film Murder on the Orient Express. The 2017 film, the second remake starred Penelope Cruz, William Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp and others. Hollywood earlier adapted Murder on the Orient Express into a film in the 70s.

Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile has her most famous character, the private detective Hercule Poirot investigate another dastardly murder. There’s no word yet about which character Fazal will be playing. This will be the second big screen adaptation of the Death on the Nile. Ali Fazal joins the cast with Kenneth Brannagh, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer and Letitia Wright. Michael Greene writes the film. This Hollywood murder mystery film is prepped for a December 2020 release. Fazal is acquainted with pan Indian projects. He did a surprise role in Fast and the Furious. Later on, he was part of the period drama Victoria and Abdul. Bollywood, for its part, has gone ecstatic about Ali’s success. His co-stars from the Fukrey franchise showed their love on Instagram. Esha Gupta, Sapna Pabbi, Isha Talwar and others also congratulated Ali.
