Karan Johar Is Blunt AF and Refreshing About Kaal

Karan Johar is the centre of brickbats and bouquets for a couple of years. He took it on his chin for the debacle Bombay Velvet. I am sure he has an ear to the ground and knows the kind of vibes Ghost Stories has got. But the man with a never says die attitude is still going strong in the horror genre. Dharma Production’s upcoming movie, Bhoot Part 1 The Haunted Ship is an out and out horror movie, starring Vicky Kaushik, Bhumi Pednekar and others. The trailer has opened to mixed reactions and people are talking about Karan’s earlier missteps in the horror genre, namely Ghost Stories and  Kaal.

Karan Johar has rarely spoken about Kaal and that’s because not many have asked about the movie. I don’t know why nobody has asked. Whether people don’t know about the movie, or whether reporters are too overwhelmed just to be there during a Dharma Productions PR junket. But one brave soul asked and Karan Johar answered in trumps. Here’s the video:

Watch Karan Johar’s Reaction to Kaal:

Whatever this guy is, he does take everything on his chin. Unfortunately, even though I write about horror movies full time and they are my dread-and-butter, even I cannot find many positive things to write about Kaal. Apart from the fact that Kaal introduced the audiences to a whole new aspect of supernatural horror back in 2005,  nothing else worked for the Bollywood horror movie. Hell, Shah Rukh Khan dancing couldn’t help this movie. I don’t think anything else could. Sad Reacts Only
