Katrina Kaif starring in a horror movie has been a rumor for a while. There’s been no clarification for a while.  We have confirmation now.   There’s indeed a Bollywood horror movie with Katrina Kaif in the lead – so what if it is a horror-comedy. Kat made it official with this Instapost. The post shows her, Siddhanth Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khatter in character and dressed to the nines, black suits et al. Gurmeet Singh directs this Bollywood horror movie.  Yes, the movie has all the vibes of a desi Ghostbusters, but I always maintain that if a movie’s good, its good. He too posted a photo from the movie on his Instagram:

Kaif has been in the news for a while because of her movie commitments. Phonebooth happens to be the other project that she will be part of. She is also part of the Ali Abbas Zaffar mind-blowing project that’s a trilogy and has all the essence of Bollywood Avengers. IHC was the first to pick this up, and you can read that report here.

Katrina found herself under the limelight once again when Ali Abbas Zafar announced that he will be making a remake/sequel of the 80s superhero, iconic movie, Mr. India. All logic pointed to the idea that Katrina will be part of the movie, but there’s no offish news about that, as yet.

There’s a release year as well – and given the pandemic situation, that’s a big thing. All promotional materials say that the movie will hit theaters in 2021. With the pandemic still going strong, I am only glad that the makers haven’t thought about rushing through the project and bringing it on an OTT platform.
