MXPlayer Brings A Stalking Series to Streaming Audiences

MXPlayer regularly brings some of the best content to streaming audiences. In a short span of time, MXPlayer has dominated genres ranging from young adult to drama. Now, it brings to audiences Hello Mini, a Hindi thriller web series. The web series is an adaptation of the novel Marry Me, Stranger by Novoneel Chakraborthy. Hello, Mini stars Anuja Joshi, Gaurav Chopra, Priya Banerjee, and Mrinal Dutt in the leading roles.

The series is about a young woman, Rivanaah. Rivanaah shifts to Mumbai for a job, and faces one of the worst predicaments a person can – a stalker. The series premiered on 1st October and is streaming now on MXPlayer. The Hindi thriller web series has fifteen episodes. Right off the bat, the series is fast paced and has good performances. Anuja Joshi does a good job of playing the victim of the stalker. Thankfully, the series han’t created cliches. There’s no ‘tv treatment’ to the series as well. This is a fast paced, well made series. Farrukh Kabir directs the series and Applause Entertainment produces the series.

Streaming platforms are increasingly looking at thriller and supernatural content to get a leg up in the race to audiences. ALTBalaji went big with Ragini MMS Returns, the web series that’s a spinoff of their film Ragini MMS. ZEE5 has gone ahead and commissioned a couple of horror series too, including Barot House and Posham Pa. ZEE5 will also launch the Kalki Koechlin starring Bhram. That web series seems to be an out and psychological nutter from the trailer.
