New Horror Movies Hitting Theaters in 2020

The horror genre has got a big boost. There are several new horror movies that are in various stages of production and about to be released. There’s hype about some of them and then some of them might just slip under the radar. Interestingly, many of these new horror movies are either remakes or reboots of classic horror franchises.  Here’s a list of the top 5 new horror movies that we are awaiting:

#1 The Invisible Man

Blumhouse brings to us a smart retelling of one of the most iconic and memorable sci-fi horror movies. The Invisible Man features Elizabeth Moss,  Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid and Harriet Dyer.

In the horror movie, Elizabeth Moss plays Cecilia, a woman who is stuck in a controlling and violent relationship with a brilliant scientist. As she escapes, her ex commits suicide and leaves most of his fortune for her. Cecilia suspects something uncanny, but not before she falls in the trap of The Invisible Man. Leigh Whannel directs.

The Invisible Man hits theaters on February 28, 2o20, just as the Valentine’s Day week subsides. The irony is not lost on us.

#2 Halloween Kills

2020 will also see the sequel to the 2018 horror movie, Halloween. This is the second horror movie in that franchise and is the prequel to the third and last movie in this story arc, Halloween Ends.
