Preksha Mehta is a common face for horror fiction and fiction based on true crime. She was a show regular on series like Laal Ishq and Crime Patrol. The young actress has commited suicide on Monday in Madhya Pradesh, her hometown.
As yet, there is no reason for the suicide, but according to a report from Spotboye.com, the police have recovered a suicide note.
While there’s no news on the actual reason, Preksha left a chilling Instagram message, which I am sure authorities would want to investigate. Interestingly, the Instapost is no longer visible on her account. At the time of publishing this report, there’s one message that seems connected to Preksha’s state of mind – a video with the caption, “Everything will be fine”
Several media reports hinted that Preksha Mehta was worried about not getting work once the lockdown ends. Its true that anthology series like Crime Patrol and Laal Ishq need several male and female actors.
Preksha had moved from Mumbai to hometown before the lockdown. The actress had been part of several episodes of Laal Ishq, the horror show that aired on ZEE TV. There are reports of ZEE looking at overhauling the entire project.
It is always depressing to hear about actors and actresses in trouble. Recently, we found out that Satish Kaul, the popular Punjabi actor who was also part of Bollywood horror movies like Bandh Darwaza was living in penury as well.
