Robocop Will Serve and Protect

There’s not a single soul who didn’t love the first Robocop, one of the best sci-fi movies. The franchise went down the drain pretty quickly and even the 2014 reboot couldn’t salvage the franchise. There’s news the franchise is coming back with a sequel to the Robocop franchise. And to nobody’s surprise, it is not rebooted or a continuation with Robocop 4. This film, genuinely, will be Robocop 2.

Watch the Robocop Trailer here:

Ed Neumeier and Michael Miner have written the script for the original RoboCop. The WGA Strike resulted in a shelved film.  This is breaking news, and I don’t know anything else. The only details out there are the name of the director attached to the project, Abe Forsyth. Justin Rhodes, who wrote Terminator: Dark Fate writes the script.

Robocop, along with HE-Man and the Masters of the Universe, has had a bad franchise run. After the original, there were four Robocop films. The third film smacked the franchise back to where it came from. Critics regard it as one of the worst sci-fi movies. The film was a critical failure and didn’t make any money for the producers as well. There was talk about the way forward. I remember reading somewhere that they were planning to take Robocop to space in one of the films. Fortunately, that didn’t happen. Stay tuned to this site to know more about the new Robocop film.
