Stephen King Novel The Dark Half Up For Adaptation

Stephen King novel The Dark Half is the latest novel that’s on its way to becoming a horror movie. Alex Ross Perry, who earlier gave us the horror movie Her Smell, will direct, according to Dread Central.  And according to be, this might be the most bizarre King novel. Thad Beaumont is a young writer who writes under a pseudonym.  Tired of writing under a name, he symbolically buries the alter ego in a grave – and that’s when the murders start.

George Romero adapted the book into a Hollywood horror movie back in the 1990s. The Dark Half (1993), starred Timothy Hutton, Amy Madigan, Michael Rooker, Julie Harris, and others.  There’s little information available about this upcoming project. Maybe that’s because there’s not much to report at the moment. Keep a tab open to know more.

Several of Stephen King novels have found their way to the streaming and the big theaters. Netflix took on Gerald’s Game. It has also become a franchise, with a second movie in the Hollywood horror movie franchise releasing. Then again, we also have Dr. Sleep, the sequel to The Shining that released a while ago.  There’s news that another of Stephen King novels, From a Buick 8 is up for an adaptation as well.
