The Grudge is the latest Hollywood horror movie to hit the reboot station and ready to roll. The Grudge trailer gave us an inkling of what was to come, and the full-length trailer is leaving nothing to the imagination. So, we have rotting faces, people cutting their fingers in a maniacal rage and of course, the manic laughter that goes around with such a situation.
It’s interesting to see that the director is doing what’s best for a horror reboot – add some more red sauce and cut some more sausages the right way. The trailer proves that the horror movie will not be for the faint-hearted.

Nicolas Pesce directs. He’s no greenhorn when it comes to horror movies as well. He has earlier directed two horror movies, The Eyes of My Mother and Piercing. Both these horror movies are chock full of horror, gore and basically, people murdering people in inventive manners and iconic objects, like an ice-pick.
Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Taka Ichise produce this re-imagining of one of the scariest Hollywood horror movies. The horror movie is the fourth installment of the franchise. The Grudge is a successful horror movie franchise as well. The first part made more than Sony executives expected, but the second part petered down.
The Grudge is a complete reboot and has new characters and brand new mythology. In this movie, a female detective stumbles upon a home that she thinks is haunted. When she returns to her own, she understands that she has brought something home that is a clear and present danger to her and her kid.
The Grudge releases on December 2, 2020.
