The Night Clerk is a Hollywood horror movie that’s all set to hit theaters on 21 February. Tye Sheridan plays a young front desk clerk at a hotel who takes up the night shift. Soon, he becomes a prime murder suspect of one of the high profile guests in the hotel. Along with Tye, the movie also stars Helen Hunt, Ana De Armas, John Leguizamo, Johnathan Schaech and others. Michael Cristofer directs. Cristofer is part of other movies like Die Hard with a Vengeance and Year by the Sea.

The film’s announcement hit the headlines in February 2018. Tye grabbed eyeballs with his roles in Hollywood horror movies like Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and the Hollywood superhero movie X-Men: Apocalypse. He then starred in the monster-hit and critically acclaimed Ready Player One. He continued to play Cyclops in two other Marvel movies, Dead Pool 2 and Dark Phoenix.
Tye plays a night front desk receptionist. For some reason, he observes the people in his hotel and learns their mannerisms. He strikes a friendship with one of the young women. Soon, he has a dead body on his hands and the police have him as the prime suspect.
The concept is not new, but its something that connects with the audiences today – especially those who have those instagrammable accounts. Shia LaBeouf once starred in a movie about a stranger witnessing a death, Disturbia (2003). In the nineties, Deepak Tijori starred in a movie with the concept, Pehla Nasha. with released in 1993.
